How does the service work?
Step 1: Select your service: one-time monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly. Each package includes two carts or three cans / compost bins.
Step 2: If you need recycling bins cleaned, you can add those to your package. You can add as many carts, bins, or cans as you’d like.
Step 3: Someone from our team will contact you with a Welcome Package and send over a cleaning schedule of what days your cans will be cleaned.
Step 4: We will arrive on your garbage day, clean your cans, and return them off the street for you. We ask that you keep your cans out until 8PM.
All our packages include:
a complete deep-clean of the interior and exterior of your cans with a 200° hot-water wash that fully sanitizes and deodorizes two garbage or organics carts – or, if you use garbage cans – three garbage cans or compost bins.
a pine scented spray that keeps your cans smelling fresh until their next clean – bears dislike the smell but you’ll love it!
a welcome package with your cleaning schedule and stickers so your cans stand out – for us to clean and so your neighbours know you take action to increase child & pet safety, reduce property damage and cart repairs and to save the bears!

When it comes to cleaning we often hear: “I clean my own cans” and we think to ourselves: “Why?” You work all week, finally get 48 hours to spend on yourself, your family, and your passions and decide – “I’m going to allocate my precious time towards cleaning a dirty, stinky garbage can”?
Why not leave the dirty jobs up to people who like doing ’em – spend more of YOUR time doing things you LOVE.
Broken garbage carts from bear-encounters require repairs that are costly to tax-payers and increase cart-repair times. The longer the repair times, the longer your cans are accessible to crows and other wildlife, the longer they’re a potential injury to our garbagemen, and the more likely it is for bears to come back.
We tell our customers to stop wasting money on single-use plastics or cleaning supplies to clean their carts.
The number one attractant of Black Bears on the North Shore is our garbage. We love bears – and we hate the outcomes that await them when they become garbage dependent. Bear interactions can lead to child and pet safety concerns, property damage and – sadly – negative outcomes for the bear.
We are proud to donate $1 per can cleaned to the North Shore Black Bear Society to keep our kids, pets, people – and BEARS – safe!
